Some of you will have been to Exeter this weekend and will have seen our body panels for the e-Trike if not here's a photo. Admittedly it's not quite finished and not the most exciting of colours as it was work in progress and we didn't quite get everything finished for the show but here's a photo of the first public showing Let us know what you think...........

Thanks guys for your comments. We worked from a chassis by Stuart with a mind to giving the trike a presence and realistic use on the roads. We've included storage space for some shopping/laptop and room for additional batteries or the possibility of a conventional scooter engine. A big feature in all our desires for the styling of such machines is the windscreen and unfortunately they are not cheap, particularly the gorgeous shapes more often associated with jet fighters. (bear in mind they also have to be road legal too) We have a screen we are working with for our trike and we believe it should be possible to use some that are already in existence and road legal with our design too. There's plenty of scope to build this trike in many different ways. (variations on the eTrike chassis can be accommodated with our panels, this has always been a factor in our design) We've always been trying to keep things to what is actually possible to achieve for a genuine road legal runabout. We're happy to hear everyone's views and opinions and we do have some bigger ideas too. In the mean time this is our starting point which encompasses the excellent starting point of Stuart's eTrikes We're happy to supply panels for others who are also building eTrikes who knows perhaps by May we could have some at Stoneleigh We certainly aim to have at least one of ours at the show. Hope to see some of you guys with yours there too. Stuart and Italo have given us some fantastic inspiration. Hopefully our efforts above will inspire more of you guys to have a go too. So come on give it a try

A few very rough doodles I did awhile back over the E-trike chassis. I like this concept and think that it has a lot of potential for the future of the urban mobility. City centres are becoming crowded and polluted and a similar vehicle makes a lot of sense.....

WOW, please stop, all this tempting stuff. I feel I need to get on and make a body for mine now. My original one went to Belgium b4 I took moulds of it. So I may start again. Can't wait to find the time now, cheers, Stiggy

Trust you to hide these gorgeous designs from us Italo while I still prefer your original one with the canopy these others are far more realistic Hmm, I do believe Stuart has sitting in the corner of his workshop a MK 2 etrike with no body, so maybe we should all challenge Stuart to have it bodied for Stoneleigh Stuart might consider posting some pictures on here of the Mk2 in frame form and people could use to put forward possible body sketches that Stuart might look at using or adapting to create the fiberglass bodywork ? So how about it Stiggy You never know you might even convince me to have a go and build one

Fantastic concepts fuoriserie - I've a long way to go with my build before I consider bodywork but these sketches are certainly inspirational stuff. coco
