1) Is it really that easy to build? 2) what are the hidden costs? 3) can it be done with 2 left hands 4) how long does an IVA test take to set up? 5) are these stupid questions?

1) Is it really that easy to build?
Very easy (so far).
2) what are the hidden costs?
I recon the hidden costs are;
Van Hire & Fuel to collect Kit Wheel Spacers & Wing Mirrors Consumables (WD-40, PU Adhesive, Thinners, Grease, Silicon Selant, etc) Paint Additional Brake Pipe, P Clips, Rivets & Self Tapper Screws (but I know they have increase the kit qty on some of these items - so check first) Postage of E-Bay sold parts E-Bay Sellling Costs Packaging Materials for E-Bay sold parts Nut Caps & additional Edging Trim DVLA & IVA Test Tax Disc Holder Number Plates
The rest is choice, I personally have added optional items such as;
Copper Fuel Pipe (for the transmission tunnel) Fuel Tank Isolation Bobbins (to lift the tank) Riv Nuts, Brake Unions, Stainless Bolts, Washers & Nuts Tie Track Rod End & Anti Roll Bar Stabiliser Links Rear Lower Wishbone Bolt (refurb) Front & Rear Pads & Rear Disc Red Poly Bushes (refurb) Red Braided Brake & Clutch Hose (looks) Red Samco Hoses (looks) Aluminuim Oil Filler Cap (looks) Aeroquip White Lockable Bonnet Catch (looks) Wheel Red Air Valve Caps (looks) Steering Wheel & Boss (looks) Norma Jubilee Clips Red Hose 7mm & 10mm Red Short & Long Cable Ties Red Typhoon K&N Air Filter Steering Rack Blanking Plugs White PVC Foamex Sides Seats Allloy Gear Stick Gaiter & Knob Steering Wheel Two Button
3) can it be done with 2 left hands
Yes, I am doing it with my 13yr old. I've not done any mechanics since I was a teenager.
4) how long does an IVA test take to set up?
Not there yet, so no comments.
5) are these stupid questions?
Nope

Hi The finnished car is absolutely awsome to drive however its not the most comfortable especialy above 40 mph due to high winds in youre face i took mine up to 95mph at the weekend and it feels as though its going to blow apart ( i am sure it wont though ). This car is not built open road but lots of corners. What i am trying to say is that you need to remember that you will have a kit car and not an mx5 so if you are using youre car a lot at the moment you won't get as much use due to the weather . BUT if you have patients and the room to build and you want a fantastic TOY then go for it .

I suggest all open top car drivers do it with a helmet on, or adopt a tallish fly screen

Problem whiyh helmets is the police think youre racing on the road . a good pair of goggles is the answer.

Never had a problem with the police, just bumble bees and bugs ;D For long journeys / motorways its a full face crash helmet for me fitted with the full hands free comms / music system, and a pair of shatter prof goggles for short journeys like going down the supermarket to get a pint of milk (any excuse for a drive) nigel

I agree with Nigel. I spent 6 months thinking about how to do it but when my nephew showed me how to do it I felt a bit of a dip-stick as it is that simple. Andy
