Wanted to change the colour of the fibreglass panels.
Am I better of buying new, wrapping or having them painted...?
Also will I need to change the logbook if I change the panel colour....?

We’ve tried both wrapping and painting, and neither are long-term durable finishes. The wrap will start to peel off due to the edges on the bodywork, and the paint will chip from gravel rash. What car have you got? If it’s an Exocet we should be able to supply replacement panels.

I don't know much about wraps however you see expensive wraps on expensive cars that last a very long time. Maybe there are different quality of wraps? I would think wraps would be better as you can even get wraps that self heal in sunlight.

Flat or curved surfaces are best for wraps. Something like the fuel tank cover on the Exocet has too many angles to fit in 1 piece so you have joins which over time start to lift.

And to answer the change in colour question - yes yo do (well at least unless you want plod to stop you and go over the car every time) plus your insurance may decline to pay out if you fail to notify them of any changes.

Do you ever see the rare spotted Police occifer around you, we don't, standard is no insurance, no license & underage, then there's the ones on the bikes 3 up without helmets, no fault on the officers part but Police numbers in our area are a joke, 1 officer per 100 square miles. Also the legalised theft companies will use any get out clause not to pay out.
