Great news! Keep us posted so we can arrange a meeting sometime! I can investigate the possibilities of some track time at Circuit Zandvoort...

Agreed by one condition: Don't cry if you can't keep up with me. Power to weight ratio shows you are not in favour And Rik has already a speeding ticket which shows he has been practising early ;D

This week picked up my tR1ke from RTR. All demonstrators were out on display at Goodwood. Even though RTR workshop was still packed with vehicles of all kind, pending for approval.
As soon as all documents are complete I can apply for my Dutch licence plate.
Tomorrow fine adjustments on my parking brake, gear lever and clutch. And some polishing....

Good to see her back home again!
I assumed you fine tuned her before sending to RTR?
When do you expect to have her street legal?

Last week when I picked up my tR1ke from RTR, documents were not complete. So now waiting for receiving documents. After I can apply for Dutch licence plate.....
I did not realize a free training "learning to have patience" was included.

I am considering to change the sprocket ratio.
The clutch + standard sprocket ratio has a relative narrow and sensitive friction point. When controlled by hand (as original on the R1 motorbike) this is no problem. But the weight of the tR1ke is higher and the clutch is controlled by my left leg it is a bit itchy.
My Question: Does a lighter ratio (bigger rear sprocket) change this sensitivity?
Please suggestions.

When i look at the photos on page 11 I see you used the original hole in the clutch pedal. This does result in short pedal travel and high pedal pressure. There you can find the real problem.
The sensivity of the clutch has nothing to do with how the engine power is converted to the rear wheel.

Hi Edwin, you are right, lowering the final drive ratio will help pulling away. the lower the final ratio you use the easier and less clutch control you will need although changing the clutch peddle ratio helps a lot. The std gearing from the R1 is way too high, although because the tr1ke is so light it still accelerates very good but 6th gear is like an overdrive. I have lowered my gearing by going from a 43 to a 46 at the rear and from a 16 to a 15 at the front, it works good giving more acceleration and quicker through the gears or if I'm feeling lazy i can leave it in top gear and it pulls strong from very low speeds and at 70mph it is still only revving at just over 5000 rpm. Obviously wheel spin is an issue when lowering the gearing but they will wheel spin whatever gearing you use.

Thank you. Both reactions make sense.
A stalling engine when driving away is annoying. For me, more speed than 170km/h is irrelevant. (70mph at 5k rpm is 140mph @ 10k rpm is 200+ km/h....)
