Hello, just thought i'd introduce myself. I'm Callum and I've recently started down the path of building my first kit car. Initially i had wanted a mevabusa because i loved the look of it but wanted a car engine in it. Eventually exosportscars came up with the idea of the Exotech. So i started saving up and planning my build for that. But when it came round to actually buying the kit, it had been sold on to Rebel PM. So a month ago i received my kit for an Exotech, with the chassis modified to accept a 2.3 litre 5 cylinder lump out of an ex police Volvo.
I'm still missing my shocks at the moment due to everything being shut with this lock down malarkey going on, so the build is slow, but i'm starting to come across things that i need a bit of guidance on now.
Firstly is the steering column to steering rack connection. does anybody have any images of a bolt arrangement for this instead of welded? I've sifted through the threads but i'm not managing to find much.
How does the nose cone secure to the chassis?
I seem to have different seats to a few people on here and i'm just wondering how have people secured their seats to sliders?
Does everyone's fiberglass panels get supplied looking rather rough? My nosecone is all blistered and has a couple of chunks our of it. And the spoiler, you can see bits of glass fiber through the gel coat. And the end caps look like fairly poorly and unevenly cut.
And lastly, although i have bought my kit through Rebel PM i hope i can stick around on here and join in on some of the meets when I've finished my build.
