I am finishing off a kit that was purchased back in 2012. From what I can gather I am its third owner. It was bought with a lighting kit from MEV. I cannot seem to find installation instructions for the units fitted to ensure they are the right way up. Can anybody advise? See picture of lens below.

Hi,
Are you using a mk 2.5? 2000 onwards are 2.5 and I just fitted those but had to use a switch to separate main from dipped beams otherwise they both come on together no matter how they are wired.
The h4 bulb connections are left terminal ground, top high beam, right dipped beam.

Thanks for your response but the question is about the orientation of the front lens/glass 😀😀 Mine is a mk1 so no issues with wiring. Want to get the beam right! Cheers Mick

Flat beam pattern is IVA OK, the bulbs will need to be checked as some have poor dip deflector that does not create a defined line. The manual states; Headlamps producing a flat dip beam are acceptable, and will not have to meet the aim criteria for “break point”.

Thanks for the info but is the fitting in the picture the right way up if mount3d that way? Cheers Mick

Thanks for the help guys. One was upside down and the other 90 deg out! Makes so much difference when they're installed properly. Cheers. Mick

Just looking to fit my headlights this weekend but with bonnet panel in storage can anyone give me the distance from the front of the chassis that they need to be to avoid any clearance issues. Thanks
