Hi All,
What is the preferred way of installing the fly screens? It seems like the lips on the bonnet aren't tall enough to support the forces that the screens will experience, I think I'd be happier if they come out by another couple of inches. Will the screens themselves crack even with big washers?
Many thanks

Drill a small hole and nut and bolt them. You can use a washer as well for extra load spread. They’re thick enough to cope with the stresses at speed. We fit them to race cars and the only time they’ve broken is when I’ve dropped the bonnet on the floor!

Thanks for answering. After lining them up and drilling holes in the screens it became obvious that the drivers side one would hit on the instrument panel housing as soon as the bonnet is opened a small amount. After holding it in place, the bonnet could only be opened about a foot which is obviously not enough to do anything in the engine bay, or even see the engine. The only things I can think of is to not hinge the bonnet and just remove it every time I want to access anything, or having ‘quick release screens’ (removing the bolts every time I want to open the bonnet); obviously neither of them are ideal. I don’t want to have to choose between having a screen and having a usable bonnet. How have people got around this issue?
