NEW UNFINISHED EXO ROCKET 2 PROJECT.
In late 2017 I agreed to sponsor the MV students at West Lothian College in Livingston near Edinburgh to build a Rocket 2 as a project.
I spent £8k so far on a new chassis, suspension, steering, Hispec calipers, rally discs, a Focus GT donor car with 1.8 Zetec, alloys etc over the past 18 months - but the project was held up mainly due to long delays in obtaining parts from EXO despite paying them in advance.
The automotive students have now lost interest and finally gave up at the end of term last month.
I'm now left with it and at 72 years old I just want rid. It's been a bad experience for me.
I trusted EXO and have been let down badly. I now need to sell the unfinished Rocket 2. Any offer will be considered.

It's on wheels and can be collected by trailer from Edinburgh.

Hi Bob,
Once again a sorry tale of woeful service from the guys in Nottingham.
Have you tried listing it on the mycarbuild.co.uk site?
In addition to being more active with the Rocket it will also enable more potential to be aware of situations they are likely to encounter.

I think it really needs to be stripped and started again.
I would have the frame powder coated again in a brighter colour. The new wishbones also need chromed or powder coated.
It needs two seats & belts, gear linkage, steering wheel & rod, pedal box and dash.
Engine service with timing belts. Petrol tank and brake lines need installed.
Email for list of all parts.

Can I just point out that Exo as referred to above is not related in any way to MEV or Exocet.
Good luck with selling the kit Bob, it maybe that you should enlist someone to offer a delivery service as you may be limiting sales by expecting buyers/viewers to travel to Scotland to look, although we have sold quite a few Exocets to Scotland over the years.
Pictures would help so potential buyers can see what is on offer.
If you decide to go down the kit car route again may I suggest the best kit for education purposes is Exocet, it costs far less than Rocket and is much easier to build. We have sold lots of them to colleges and Uni's. Not one complaint.
