I was looking into the Scala Rider systems and they seem to get pretty good reviews compared to other manufacturers. www.cardosystems.com/scala-riderI'm thinking a pair of those wired to an iPhone/iPad will offer everything I could ever want from a communication/music/GPS perspective. Does anyone know of other manufacturers I should look into as well?

Hi Mark Like many kit car owners I have tried a few systems and now use a Starcom 1 www.starcom1.com/It works very well on long runs and on track. I link it to a walkie talkie for convoy runs and if Mrs Mattsmev is following - I can recommend it whole heartidly I know Nigel is using the digital version, which I suspect is better but costs a bit more Cheers Mattsmev

I use the Sena SHM10 on my motorcycles
they are bluetooth and work very well, they will connect to phone, satnav and mp3 player as well as intercom.
they are expensive but do work very well even up to half a mile and even further depending on the terrain.
I know many riders who have tried cheap ones don't waste your time or money.
