Nice... Are there any pictures of the GRP parts? I'm curious about what the front will look like, looks radically different to my Rocket. Looks... pointier.

The engine bay is designed for the V6 so there is room for lots of other power plants. I am selling with Ford V6 engine mountings welded on but they could be removed. Rocket builders may be entitled to a discount as this is a very special chassis and I would prefer it went to an experienced builder.

I am looking to build an off road type buggy as I've mentioned before and I want it to look like the Ariel Nomad. Stuart would you be open to adjusting the suspension to fit big springs giving me 30cm of ground clearance and rollover bars (like the Ariel Nomad). I would be interested if you can?

Hi, sorry, I have no spare time at all, we are extremely busy with Exocet orders, now on a 12 week lead time. We are only selling this as we are short of time. It's too cheap to plough a load more labour in too. It would make a good Nomadish car though. No reason the ride height can't be raised with longer shocks, the suspension has loads of clearance and the roll bar added to forming a cage of your desired shape. One off's take huge time up though so it would need to go as is.

Can you recommend anyone who could do the rollover bar etc? My main concern with adding bigger suspension is the geometry as I know nothing about that sort of thing.

Love to help but having being bitten a number of times in the past I no longer recommend anyone for anything.

There are loads of fabricators around that can help with that. Jump on the locost forums or any of the Facebook kit car groups and you'll get loads of recommendations. Can't blame Stuart for not wanting to get bitten with that though! Surely all the good ones he knows are busy with that 12 week waiting list 😜

carlyd if you want it as an off road machine I would suggest the suspension geometry is not quite as critical as for the road and simply try and scale it from similar designs. It looks like an excellent starting point, you could simply mock something up with flat bar and a drill then measure the results, a bit of trigonometry calcs would also help. I'd be happy to do some 3D modelling for you, could be a really interesting project. When you have a design then go to a fab shop to be made.

kiwicanfly I am going to do a bit of research into this on my end but the offer to model it is very generous of you thank you, it's something I will come back to you on if I proceed with it if that's ok. I wouldn't want the ford engine, I'm not a ford fan to be honest. I'm thinking maybe Honda again or Subaru impreza / Mitsubishi Evo power unit maybe not sure yet. I do have some fantastic ideas for it and it would be a completely unique car. I've almost built it in my head already . Stuart do you have a price for just the chassis and suspension arms, but without all of the other bits please?

Also, remember, sammy made his own wishbones for the Rocket, and has made amazing quality bits for people on here, myself included. Still haven't fit his beautiful handbrake, it's just so shiny and my Rocket is a dirty place, I wouldn't want to sully it until I have to...
