I am thinking of carrying out some winter mods to my car as I am a bit bored in not being able to take it out much at the moment. I intend on taking it on some track days as soon as possible in the spring. I cannot afford to do all the mods I would want to but wanted some advice on which would give the most benefit if I only did one of the following: Throttle Bodies - I have a standard 2.0 Zetec with an Omex ECU and a straight through exhaust with no cat. I could buy the throttle body kit from DanST for £700 Quick Rack - Mine is the standard rack Hi Spec rear calipers and discs - I have Hi Spec discs and calipers at the front and the Focus ones at the rear Upgraded Engine Mounts - Not sure how much benefit these have unless you are running increased power already Any advice is much appreciated

The handbrake mech is notoriously poor on aftermarket rear callipers so you're likely to add weight, as many keep the original too. is there anything wrong with the breaking performance and have you investigated better pads first?
Quick rack is only £100 or so, easier to "fit in" to a budget at a later date...
Don't forget to factor in a tube if you go for the ITBs...

Braking seems good at the moment although I have not tried it on a track so i am happy to leave as is at the moment. Can you explain what you mean by 'a tube'? Cheers

The DanST hayabusa ITB kit will give about 25-30BHP with the omex 600, same set up I have. I was the first I think to get the kit from Dan.
I have the focus real calipers as well, not overly impressed with the performance so I'm keeping them fitted purely for the hand break and I bought some Second hand Hispec's from Ebay so I'll be fitting then opposite the ford ones with the brake line.
