Hi Peeps, Our exocet recently failed its IVA partly thanks to the hot garbage that is these dominator headlights. I dont want to mess about chopping them up just to get them to a point where they might pass an IVA, i could really use something that will pass. Doesnt have to be pretty cheaper the better. Or recomendations for IVA Friendly Lights Thanks, Mark Based in South Wales. drop me a PM with a price if you have something.

What was the issue with the dominator lights.
My rocket passed with them along with loads of other kits that have used them.
The small photon lights seem popular but are quite expensive, I imagine any light similar to the ones westfield type cars use should be ok.

I've not long ago passed Iva with dominator lights, they were weak on the high beam test but that's only due to cheap bulbs, tough thing with iva is that it seems to depend on what station you use, Notts seems to be very realistic overall. Not many lights out there, and the ones available like the venom ones (think I've named the ones correctly I'm thinking of) are expensive and personally I think too big and not very pretty. Good luck with the retest. Wayne.

Hi Where in South Wales are you?
I have a set of the oval Hellas lights on my Rocket they will definitely pass the IVA.
May be able to do a deal with you taking your dominators in exchange.
I I'm based just outside of Newport.

It does seem very arbitrary with those lights.
What is the official reason for failure?

Just found this on Car Builder Solutions.
Note: FLAT BEAM PATTERN Which may not pass IVA
Personally I think this is a real bad show either they sell conforming product or they sell non-conforming product for track/off-road etc. with a clarification.
"May Not Pass" - What a cop out.

I *think* the issue with Dominators is that the beam isn't actually flat (ignoring anything about inferior bulbs and such like). It seems to me it's actually a very shallow parabola, so will give the impression of a kick-up to the offside unless you do something about it. A flat beam should be acceptable.
With a Sonic the need to modify by rotating the glass is not really a big issue as generally the lamps are mounted on a surface which isn't parallel to the ground, so some rotation is necessary anyway. With a Rocket only a few degrees should be necessary, but more of a pain to do I guess.
