Kevin,
Do you think the Paco Motorsports longer A-arms could be adapted to a track car? Or is the geometry set up for the lifted suspension angles? Longer arm and added track width would make fitting bigger track tires much easier.

I like that but is there any way it can be made to be four wheel drive? I expect not but one never knows these days.

Decided this will be my DD Miatas future. We've had a couple snow storms this year that have convinced me I need this to get to work safely. No it doesn't make sense to buy a cheap 4WD truck. ....in my mind...

I really, really like that. Got to have covered wheels over here (GB) though. I think...

Looks great, would be ideal for cruising the dirt roads around here but anything more serious I think it will tend to 'nose in' over the whoops because of the weight distribution. It will need a lower final drive with those big wheels - what is the lowest ratio available for the MX5? 4WD would be great, even for the road versions - the only practical way I can see is to make it a hybrid with electric drive to the front wheels.

papabear - Paco Motorsports has developed the kit for optimal off-road wheel frequencies, wheel rates, camber curves, bump steer, Ackermann geometry, and caster. My guess is that with the positions they may not correctly translate to a good street setup. Something to consider though! kiwicanfly - It would not be a trivial exercise due to packaging. I believe it will be best used a RWD prerunner-type vehicle. pleurotus - Our fenders fit over those Yokohama Geolandar M/T+ tires and we're looking at some modified fender mount designs so they can be installed with enough clearance. snowbird1 - It currently sits at 52%F / 48%R. Paco Motorsports has sourced a 5.38 ring and pinion and will bring it down to normal-ish Miata ratios. We're currently using a 4.3 Torsen from a '99 NB and a six speed from an '01+ NB. Works out to the following which is really not too bad, even with the 30" tires. GEAR RATIO MPH @7200rpm 1st 3.760 38.3 2nd 2.269 63.4 3rd 1.645 87.4 4th 1.257 114.4 5th 1.000 143.9 6th 0.843 170.6

The geometry is all set for more a arm angle etc.. But looking at the arm drawing from Paco it may not be a huge redesign. But the market would be small.

Looks like FM took the 3" lifters off their site (or at least I can't find them). They don't have the "new" kit up yet but Paco was saying on Facebook that his target price was between $3k and $4K.
