Well anyone attempting to find us need not worry. These five wind machines have been installed just outside our door. 125m high. Can be seen for miles around. Do we like them? Are they the answer? Are they cost effective? I wonder. Free energy, but not when you consider the install cost perhaps. Payback is a long time coming I guess. Then maintenance. That could be heavy. Just to give you an idea of proportions, the hub unit with the gearbox/genny in is bigger than a lorry. Some 12 feet by 20! I love them, a very sleek, modern clean design. Harnessing the elements, gently rotating. Nice. What do you guys think? Attachments:

There not ugly. there silent, apart from when they change gear. Payback is currently 7-8 years. Much rather have a dozen of those outside than a nuclear/coal/oil/gas power station. Theres 2 HUGE ones been put up near here soon. 1.5million watts each. All energy is free. its capturing and moving it around that costs money. You need a picture of the missile underneath one

I saw them sunday as i went past I must admit to liking them but as i live in didcot which 2 power stations next it i like having the cooling towers too We lso have the atomic energy research facility on the door step They will never be able to produce enough power in the uk to replace coal/gas/nuclear power stations Didcot A and B alone produce over 3000 MW of power which is enough for 3 counties
