The red looks stunning from your pictures. What color is that? Also, I'm curious what the upcharge was for the welded steel floors vs. standard rivet on aluminum .... ?? Same question for the added rear diagonal on a Sport chassis. I have not ordered either, but am contemplating adding at least the floors if I still have time (chassis #110 in my case). Since bodywork is not being supplied at the same time as the chassis are ready for pickup, how will that be delivered? Will you have to go back to Exomotive to pick it up when it is ready, or do they ship it to you instead? If they ship it, is there additional cost for that shipping service above your kit price? Also, do you 'pay in full' the outstanding balance when you pickup your chassis even though the bodywork is not ready yet, or is there some level of payment holdback pending bodywork availability? Sorry for all the questions, but my day job has me dealing with these types of things from the supplier side of the desk - so to speak - so these types of questions just naturally came to mind. In any case, thanks in advance !! Einy... I am not sure about body panel delivery... They are only at number 12 when we showed up last week friday. Kevin said the new production is due to ramp up very quickly within the next week or 2. Not sure about shipping. The total amount is due right when they know what to charge for the powder coating after it is done. Our powder coating (FLexocet and mine) was so complex it was very expensive over $1k Don't worry about the questions... Keep em coming!

Disassembly has officially begun! New anchors for the lift will be here hopefully by the end of the week. Meanwhile I can get some interior crap and engine bay work done... Some of the stuff we got with the kit was awesome. Put on my shirt right away! Made good use of my new koozie right away tonight! Took the front end off Took out dash... Oh and compared my chassis color to a Mclaren 650s at work!.... Pretty close!!!

Day 2 After work tear down progress. Trying to dedicate 2-3 hours of progress everyday this week... Relief to see how simple these cars are. Removed heater box, evap, blower motor. Rear harness is simple. Disconnects under the dash. Didn't feel like disconnecting the starter, so I removed the harnesses from inside the engine bay, fished the driver side through the firewall and removed the harness from behind the heater box and fished the bundle of harness through the passenger side and back into the engine bay. Had to widen the firewall hole with a holesaw to allow a small fusebox to get through. Body isn't being reused so no need to care much about it. Easier I make it on myself the less I have to worry about getting lost during reassembly. Now she sleeps till tomorrow. Tomorrow looking to remove brake booster and master cylinder, clutch master, steering column, pedal assemblies, radiator, intercooler, ac compressor, power steering pump. Little by little.. Few hours a day. This stuff brings me back to old times when I used to tear apart my nissan with my eyes closed. This project is serving its purpose. Thank you exomotive for providing such a fantastic experience. This is just awesome.

Glad to see another NA based build going on, as most seem to be NB's! Looks like you have some nice 'go fast goodies' already. If you don't want your dead pedal please let me know ... I tossed mine during disassy thinking I'd never use it. Mistake .... !

I tossed mine during disassy thinking I'd never use it. Mistake .... ! I keep seeing people post how much they regret not keeping the dead pedal.. I'll be sure to keep mine. If you need one try treasure coast miata. They have a ton of parts and they ship at reasonable prices. They have whatever you need and if you can't find it on the web site, shoot them an email or give them a call.

Is the striker gold deluxe? Love the color. Jealous of the fm2 kit. That won't happen for at least 6 months after I finish mine.

Lift anchors are here. Tomorrows lift install will hopefully go smoothly. If not it's going to be a hysterical hole in the floor! Haha!
