See her in action: Our Exocet Sport build for the 2013 Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge runs a stock 1999 Miata engine with an FM II turbo system. The exhaust is a custom 2.5" setup via Enthuzacar and there's a FM Big Spark kit on the engine using four LS3 coils for maximum spark. The dyno run in the video hits 258 hp at 9.5 psi (uncorrected power, gauge reading) which is 310 hp at 12.5 psi corrected. (FM is located at ~4,700 feet above sea level. Exomotive HQ is at ~800ft) Once it gets back to Atlanta we'll be running it at 11 psi on the gauge, which should be an uncorrected 275hp. The car's on 91 octane pump gas and was tuned at Flyin' Miata. This entire car was built for just over $19k in off the shelf parts. With front and rear NASCAR COT wings, DOMEX mounts and the full FMII turbo system, the car weighs 1515 pounds w/full tank. Keith Tanner had a few comments: "Brandon and I were just saying how the Exocet just begs to be driven. It just asks to have the wheels driven off it, right out of the box. My first timed lap took FTD for the day, then Brandon peeled another couple of tenths off. We're not timing the FM V8 cars today, but it's definitely on pace with them." "I have actually been lucky to drive an Atom and an Exocet hard on track. Both had forced induction. And the Atom didn't impress me, honestly. It just never took a set. The gear change was atrocious. The seat flexed all over. But it was the first that mattered. The car just wouldn't settle into a corner. The Exocet drives like a fast Miata on crack. It's the same friendly Miata chassis with such great adjustability, but everything is sped up. The braking still has us all impressed - partly due to the weight and partly due to a four-wheel FM little big brake kit You really can just jump in and go fast out of the box. An Atom is never friendly. It's mostly to impress people who have seen Top Gear videos on Youtube in my estimation. Cost no object, I'd rather have the Exocet."

Good question - they ship internationally and can give you a quote via email (sales@flyinmiata.com) or phone. They ship UPS, US Post Office and InXpress (DHL).
We went for the full FMII Hydra system for the '99, FM Happy Meal clutch/flywheel, coolant reroute, inconel studs, stage 8 locking hardware, hard lines, and crossflow radiator plus shroud/fan kit.

Very nice mattapo - we are actually working with DIYAutoTune on some new custom Exocet wiring harnesses that will simplify installation and minimize the need to keep and/or modify the stock wiring loom. Hope to have those available in the next few months. They are going to be building their own Exocet this fall and their shop is only a short drive from ours.

It got picked up from FM yesterday afternoon and is en route across the country via Conway LTL. Should land at the shop on Friday, just in time to get her cleaned up for a local show on Sunday. FM was kind enough to make one more special mod for us before it left: a switch that allows us to go from a 91 octane to 100 octane map. Looking forward to taking this thing for a spin when it gets back.

Yeah, I doubt we'll be doing that very often in practice. Taking both my black Exocet and XP-3 to Southrnfresh III this Sunday (http://www.facebook.com/SOUTHRNFRESH).

We had a fantastic track day with Just Track It at Atlanta Motorsports Park spending most of the afternoon giving passenger rides.
