Trying to get a feel for how the car will handle once done. My last sports car was an 88 Corvette with the handling package and a 4+3 transmission. However my friend has a Mini Cooper Turbo and while he couldn't leave me in the straights he out cornered me.
So my question is does anyone know how the Exocet stacks up against a Mini Cooper in cornering??

Go and take a mx5 for a test drive and find out that way i, in my experience the mx5 is a lot more fun when going for it than a mini cooper but all in personal choice not a huge fan of modern minis.

Sorry it was the closest thing I had to compare to since I have not been able to secure an MX-5 for an extended period of time. I'll see if I can grab a used one in good condition for a test drive. Honestly I've read such good things about them and a couple of my friends had them and not a single bad word about the handling, but I guess the real question is how does an Exocet compare to the standard Miata in handling. Better question?

A world apart. The Exocet takes the best parts of the MX5 and makes them better. It's more chuckable around the bends, nice and predictable and when the back end does go it doesn't bite, it gives you good warning. It's very well balanced and with the tubular frame it stiffens it up no end. I ran an MX5 solely on track for a year before we built the MX150R and it was good, but the 150R is so much better!!
