Hi All Has anyone got any ideas on how to bolt the back of the seats supplied. Am happy to bolt front down to the cross member but what happens at the back. Do I make up a couple of brackets from the rear cross member to point on the back of seat or bolt through the base of the seat to a bracket between the cross members. Any ideas would be helpfull as MSVA will be quite hot on seat mountings I would imagine. Thanks Dave

Hi Dave seats can just be bolted straight through the aluminium floor pan. Tried using saeat runners in mine, but found it lifted the seats to high, so Paul at RTR said to just bolt through the floor and just use a large washer underneath. For the front of my seats i shaped a piece of 4x2 timber and fiberglassed this to the bottom of the seat.this is then fixed with 7580mm coach screws up through the floor.

Hi Paul. Yes I have spoken to the factory today and they said the same just bolt through the ally floor. Passenger seat will be mounted on the front cross member and now through floor but drivers seat needs to adjust as my daughters want to use as well. Got a slider that only lifts 19mm so hoping that will still be ok for me. Great to see your car is now up for MSVA, you can come down to Burnham to give me some tips if you get withdrawal symptons. Alot done in the last week since picking up now started the electrics. Cheers Dave

Hi Dave sounds like a similar thickness runner to the one i tried. That 19mm thickness becomes almost 2 inches by the time you lift the runner up on to the chassis rails.Good luck with the electrics. Dont forget the side stand switch and clutch switch. Both easy to overlook also lean angle sensor caused us an hours delay. looked at it several times and thought `need to fix that` and then forgot.

What did you do with the side stand and clutch switches

clutch switch is connected on the clutch to enable starting in gear and side stand switch is a hidden switch to work as an extra immobiliser
