Thanks a lot Kelvin.
I am super happy how it performs. I sure do not need a larger engine that for sure!
Getting 65-75 MPG I sure will be using it this Summer. I have a Go-Pro so will have a mount custom made to fit properly.
I hope you are making headway on what you want to do with the Eco Exo R. My personal feeling is to go with the 2007 and later Burgman 400 as the older parts are drying up and it is 2015! I really wanted to reinforce how well this engine performs even with a 2005 motor. You are welcome to use it on your site if you want.
The good thing is you have a lot of data and pictures to make the right choice as you move forward.

Thanks Dave
Hard to believe the smallest MEV would create that much curiosity.
I have to thank all that contributed to the build especially Roger as it would not of turned out like this without his help and long talks each week.

Edward It's certainly a fun machine as it stands in it's current form. The new trike is coming along very nicely and I'd love to show you guys but I'm afraid you'll have to wait a while longer as there's plenty more to do. It'll be a new model but I know Dave will be a bit disappointed in that the 650 wont fit in it. That is going to have to be an entirely different vehicle altogether as the drive-train is huge by comparison. Hopefully some time later this summer all will be revealed but those of us who are a bit taller than the average Eco-mev owner will be pleased so that's one little hint

Eddie (wipe that "I got mine finished" smirk off your face)
Did you hear that.... more leg room. Got to see what cooking in Kelvins kitchen. It would be great to have a sneak peak but I will be busy polishing my own Eco-Exo-R. Speaking of Eco-Exo-R, when I had it inspected last year, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts decided to change the name to Special Vehicle, Motorcycle. Hey, I don't care what they called it, I enjoy the heck out of it. The c0ckpit could stand to be a bit roomier, but it fits me quite nicely.
Kelvin, when you have your official roll out ceremony, give us all a heads up.. it isn't like doing a Martha Stewart or anything (insider trading) just let us know a day in advance so we can check it out.

Yes us 5'7" wee folk fit perfectly in our machine. Roger you could always store it for a few years and let nature shorten you up a bit:) I still think Kelvin should E-mail us privately for some private free counseling to make sure it is going in the right direction but hey just my opinion:) I also would like to hear from anyone else building this trike. Edward I also made a holder for my antenna when trailering the trike. Always one last detail but running out of ideas. IMG_3045 by evanbelkom, on Flickr

Each day it gets better and better I'm really pleased with how it's developing

Eddie, Kelvin: It goes without saying, I am VERY interested in the new model. I am also interested in other builds as well. Not everybody that buys a kit vehicle does a blog, but a photo or two would be wonderful.
Eddie: I think your antenna "Transport Relocation Alternate Security Holder" is a good idea. I bought an antenna spring and 2 quick disconnects for my Victory Trike. I may use the second quick disconnect as a "Stationary Holder In Transit" to use while I am on my long rides and parked at a motel or campground. Some folks look at your stuff as a place to do some late night shopping. I am considering installing a security system similar to Harleys to prevent or deter theft. Speaking of of my Victory trike, it will be finished this weekend and delivered before next week is up. I will post a few pictures once I have the detail work done.
In other news, it hasn't snowed in a few days, so spring must be around somewhere. Today is supposed to be in the 60's but with rain. February and Marches snowfall will be reduced by a significant measure today. Yeah, Spring!!!!
I will go for a quick ride on the Eco-Exo this weekend if it is dry enough. I want to do a video of the new gauge cluster and do some acceleration tests from a complete stop. I am curious about where my RPM power band is.
That's about all for now.

It would be good I agree to have a blog on the build/development but it's a bit different really as there's a lot of things that 'evolve' along the way plus I really want to see people's impressions when it's 'unveiled' and I can't really do that if I'm showing bits and pieces along the way. Of course you could always pop over to the workshop and maybe then I might let you take a peek Honestly I would love to let you guys see what I'm doing but you'd also have to look at a lot of things in the bin too!

I have 1500 miles on the trike now and really enjoy driving it. I have been on extended trips and no problems found except for the front caliper mounting bolts loosening up. I put Loctite on those so should have no more problems with them. I also was able to try a Scorpion P6 yesterday. It is a very well built trike with a Kawasaki Z6 motor putting out 126HP. It fit me perfectly but at 27K US was too rich for my blood. It would be the one I would want as a single place machine. But I like mine as it has a windshield and has a great feel on the wheel so will be keeping it a long time. Here are some pictures and a video of the P6 for comparison. flic.kr/p/rtEgHZIMG_3050 by evanbelkom, on Flickr IMG_3085 by evanbelkom, on Flickr

Well another treat! I was able to demo a Polaris Slingshot today. It was fun but more like driving a convertible that had better acceleration. I feel blessed that I tried all the reverse trikes and truth be told I would long for a Scorpion P6 over the Eco Exo R. Nick made a post that was correct with the TR1ke in acceleration but 126hp and 699LBS with a 13,500RPM redline was formidable!
I would love one in my garage but pretty happy tooling around in what I built.

Had a fantastic day at Road America for the Rockerbox Motofest event. It was a great time and was able to see all the vintage race bikes. I surely will make it next year. IMG_3133 by evanbelkom, on Flickr

I bet you got a great reception with your trike too. Any more pics?
By the way, you know you have your front wheels on the wrong sides? I have just noticed your tyres should spin the opposite direction, just switch the wheels over.

The directional arrows on the tires shows they are installed correctly. It looks like they are reverse but that is the way the tread pattern works on these tires. Here is a picture of my trike next to a Polaris Slingshot. IMG_3136 by evanbelkom, on Flickr IMG_3138 by evanbelkom, on Flickr
