Im at the stage of Installing the wiring harness back on the exocet! Im finding it really fustrating, ive made a little shelf/tray sort of thing to hide most of it in at the dash. It seems to long and taking to much space! Anyone got any pics or advice? Im not to keen On cutting and chopping the wires just yet untill i know it all works. This is by far is the worst bit of the build so far!

If you take a look at my build you can see the tray made from the off cuts from the floor. The whole unaltered loom fits in and then you can cut it down later to thin some of the unneeded wires out.

On my mk1 I found you did not need to make a tray. Just mount the ecu in front of the console and coil up the wires underneath above the steering column. Look at my video on my balebuild. I have only removed a very few wires so most is still there.

shortening the loom is not as scary as it seems, take a lok at my build. Take all the overwrapping off, lay the loom over the car roughly where your going to put the wires, then cut each one and solder back together, i did this with no experience and only used a £7.95 solder kit off ebay. Its best to purchase some heat shrink casing to make a good job.
