Ok, straightforward mod, I left 10 untouched as you did, works fine. However, I have a suggestion for a wiring change that will make this easier and more functional. Also, a limit so the down stroke is prevented, as currently a downstroke will output a dipped signal to the headlights. Pictures and diagrams to follow in the tech section following on from the link you referred to above

Thanks Steve. Good to hear it works. Nice update in the tech section (the simulator is v.good). I had just updated the decals on the stalk, however may move the fog light to position three as you've suggested, keeping the wiring far simpler overall.

Nice looks very good, and simplifies the dash nicely, there is now an update on restricted downwards movement also.

Cheers Steve. Now, I wonder if there could be a use for the steering column mounted radio controls?
Anyway, I'd better get on with the heavy metal side of the build!

I wasn't going to use the second stalk, as i didn't want the clutter, however, these just slide in and out so can be removed for track. Thus disabling all lights, if im correct

Makes sense. Never done a track day however, so no idea what the rules are re. having lights.

No rules, but its horrible when indicators and lights etc are going when tne stalks have been moved when your on it. Was the same when i was instructing on the bikes, indicators and hazards going on everywhere. Very of putting..lol

Leave the stalks on, and isolate the inputs through switches. Easier than removing the stalks each time.

Hi Guys
You will need your indicators on a track day. Just in case someone manages to turn up with a faster car its normal to indicate to let them pass, it just lets everyone know whats going on. Head and side lights are not needed though
Cheers

Well, I've been a bit quiet over the last week. I started the quick rack conversion and have just two words...... 'pinion nut!' Everything (tie rods, slipper plug etc...) came apart nicely until I got to the pinion nut. I now fully understand the frustration others have described. Oh well, nobody said everything would be easy. After various failed attempts to release the nut, I took a 27mm socket and 'modified' with an angle grinder (... maybe 26mm would have been a better starting point?) ... and success! The sacrificial socket removed the pinion nut! I'll probably rebuild tomorrow. Question: Any recommendation as to whether I should fit valve springs during the rebuild, as suggested by the upgrade guide please? Assuming the castor angle gives the desired self centring effect, is the reduced travel required on the rocket?

Thanks Paul. I read yesterday that using the springs could be an IVA failure. Does anyone know if this is indeed the case please?
