It gives access to the workshop manuals for the MKi and MK2 MX5. I found the 739 pages of the MK2 manual invaluable. Go for it - its free.

Yeah all you need to know is mainly in the exocet section anyways, workshop manual and wiring diagrams are easily found with a quick google search anyway.

Is it worth getting a password for the technical section? Whats different about it? Sorry but is this really a thread worthy of so many replies? It costs nothing if you have bought a kit. Is it worth it? Maybe, maybe not each to his own. You could have got a password and found out for yourself by now. "Passwords are only issued to people who have either purchased, a kit (ie ordered and paid a deposit) or a fully complete vehicle and are issued directly by MEV or RTR, so you should contact either (Stuart Mills) MEV at www.mevltd.co.uk/contact.html or (Paul Homes) RTR at www.smartsrus.com/rtr_contact.html and request your Password to access the Technical Section of the Forum." In my humble opinion this is a worthless thread. Do I duck for cover now or later?

Well why did you even bother reading this thread then or more to the point even bother posting about it ??
The normal exocet section is very good so I had never bothered to take the time and find out the password.
I have since looked at the technical section and have not found anything that useful in it in relation to the Exocet but maybe I am missing something as its mostly Rocket stuff.
Sorry for boring you kiwicanfly from now on I will run my posts past you for approval

Maybe this should be a call to all Exocet owners to use the Tech section more to help new and future builders?
Seems like we should all be trying to help each other here.

Just to add my 2p i think its because most Exocet builders (myself included) do a fair amount of the work before actually buying the kit and receiving a password. So most questions and helpful tips are in the build guides, I was almost a year into my build before i was eligible for a password and thankfully all questions were easily answered in my build guide or i would of been rather stuck as i had committed myself to a exocet build but could not attain access to the tech section. Just my opinion though. Rich
