Just doing a one off for a school with an AC permanent magnet motor as detailed in the plan sets. The axle/brake/hubs and sprockets are also available, let me know if you have plans without this new info and fancy this arrangement. Attachments:

Could you send me the new info please. I take it the motor and control details are included as well? How does this drive set-up compare on cost? MSVA wise - a light qudricycle? Cheers coco

Hi coco. Info sent via your email. The cost is around $1000 for the AC motor and controller kit. Slightly less power than the DC motors of the same frame size but this one is very efficient. Moped regs apply as it's under 4 kw if you turn the controller down. Regards Stiggy Attachments:

Ouch! Any chance of redress with the manufacturer?

I'm now fitting a 96v motor to mine so the top speed will be 65mph. Now that could be considered excessive in this type of vehicle but I am taking it to the alternative energy race at Santa pod, it took for ever to get down the strip last year. 21 seconds. Of course it won't win any prizes but it's good fun. I will try and lose a few pounds, that will help. I would like to knock a second off last year. Anyone with an E-trike can enter free of charge. Let me know if your rolling and I will book you in. www.aeracing.org/ I believe spectators are welcome free of charge.
