Just wondering what the largest size of tire will fit using the stock wheel guards. Maybe 16 inch? Also, what is the widest diameter.
Thanks!

tire or wheel.
you could put a 17 if you really wanted to.
what your really needing to know is what is the largest overall diameter you can put, and largest treadwidth
neither of which i can help you with, but once you find out, i can help you pick a tire size for whatever wheel diameter you want to run

I would like to run a little wider tire but I beleive it would stick out under the fender.

I've got 215 40 16s on and they just fit, I certainly wouldn't want to go any wider!

i have 16in 50 x 205 and they just fit, would be better to go with a 45 section if you are using a 16in wheel and 40 section if you have a 17in wheel. 215 will really be pushing it for width

205/40/17s are a squeeze and only just fit, any larger and your in trouble. The wings on mine look like theres a tiny bit of room, but dont forget theyre attached to the top of the wingstays which clear my tyres by about 3mm! Any wider and it'll rub, and larger and you'd have to alter the wing stays as they won't reach past the edge of the tyres!

The build guide recommends 195/45/16 which is what most people use. You can actually ruin the handling of any car putting larger tyres on. Take the new Toyota GT86 for example, they have fitted skinny tyres from the Prius which allows you to explore the limits of the grip available contributing to the overall fun. Suppose it depends what you intend to use your exocet for but personally I want mind to be fun.

I've got 215/45/16 conti's on mine, they just fit but the better option would be 215/40/16 as these only increase the speedo by 0.01 mph, The tyres are not allowed to be visible from above when the wing is fitted, the 215's are just inside but on the limit.
