Hello. I am interested in building a kit car and have just stumbled across this site. Loving the look of the Exocet so am after some more information if anyone can please help?

Excluding cost of donor vehicle, how much is it likely to cost to get an Exocet on the road?

Are there many other things to buy apart from the kit and a donor vehicle?

How much are you paying for insurance of you Exocet?

How much is tax on an Exocet?

I apologise if these questions have been asked before. I tried to search but didn't find the answers. Apologies again if this is in the wrong section.

Hi James, the kit is £2600 with the vat added then add lights approx £200 nuts and bolts are usually corroded and need changing, due to the iva inspection £495 many of us have changed suspension say £200 plus polybush set approx £150-200 then its repaint or powdercoat the chassis £250. If you take a look at my build so far its running at about £3700, plus donor plus iva and still got tyres and brakes to go.
The tax is the same as other cars, and if you get through the iva you then have to pay for a new registration £45 but there is no mot for three years and my insurance will be £160 per year.
Sounds alot, but there are only about 110 of these made so far, so welcome to the elite community.

Thanks for the info guys. Seems to be quite an affordable kit car.

Do you have any performance figures, i.e. 0-60 times? How does the car handle round a track? Can they be turbo/supercharged?
