Not the most exciting video we have produced but this shows how nicely the electric reverse mechanism is that can be fitted to all the 2012 MEV tR1ke chassis.

The chassis will be back from powdercoating at the end of the week, so once we have reassembled it, I will be able to film it shooting us backwards at warp speed and relay the results here.
The mechanism is designed to move 600kgs so a 325kg tR1ke with two 90kg occupants should be well within it's remit.

Is the frame re-designed to accept this mechanism ? I hope my kit will accept it,since it was ordered recently.

Looks like the car frame has not changed.
If I decide to add the reverse later on, what modifications need to be done?

I would be interested to know this as well! looks a good modifacation, was pleased to hear the frame has changed so the clutch cover can now be taken off easily as well.

The reverse kit will be a simple bolt on for all 2012 kits.
The frame has been tweaked at the rear to allow the simple fitment of the reverse kit and to allow removal of the clutch cover with the engine in situ.
An adjustable clutch pedal stop is now a permanent part of the chassis as well.
