First of all, excuse me for my english not being as good as it should be but hey, it's probably lots better then your dutch! Just bought me a 2000 Mazda MX-5 1.9 with (whoohoo) and looking forward to the building proces. But then there is de RDW, dutch variant of the IVA. They will charge us about 3000 pounds to fail the test! As I understand it, so far nobody in Holland past the test the last 2 years or so (!!!) so we take the option of getting the car to England, try to let it pass the IVA and then importing it back into Holland. Now here is my question, can I pass the IVA with the exocet being a left hand drive car and having a KM/H speedometre? Are there any other things I need to consider? Things in advance, will begin posting pictures as soon as the MX-5 arrives from germany (yes this car will be an eurozone racer)

I don't think left hand drive should be a problem though i'm not totally sure about that. The speedo shouldn't be a problem as you could just fit an english instrument pod for the test, english ones have both MPH and KPH readings on them so surely must be calibrated the same. I assume that attachments will all be in the same place, indeed are the mk2's the same as the mk1's, anyone know??? Head lights will need to point to the left not right so you will have to bear that in mind. £3000 for a test....... and i thought the IVA was a rip off.
