Afternoon boys and girls.
I've just been reading ahead on the build manual and I see that it recommends removing the power steering. I just wondered if anyone else has decided to keep it? Does it fit?
I can see how the lighter car might be over-assisted but it would be nice to maintain the modern feel of the car and keep it, maybe with some restrictors or bleeds in the lines to reduce the assistance.
I'd welcome any thoughts. Thanks,
Lad

it will fit but the theory was two fold for removing it. one, the cars light and shouldnt need it, secondly, with the aircon and PAS gone the engine runs more freely. having taken it all out its fine when the cars moving, but with 215 wide 17" wheels, with 20psi in them, its near impossible to turn the wheels stationary. I'm just starting my second build and will leave the PAS in until ive driven it, and then make a choice based on the two experiences. i was advised with a car this light and PAS you'd loose the feel of the road etc, but not being a professional racing driver i doubt i'd even realise! :-)

thanks Alex, I think we'll do the same then. We'll be going for smaller wheels than you but stickier tyres so could end up with the same situation.
