One happy smiling Jules as she passed her IVA this morning first time around. Of course she had a little help from a bloke at MEV but the main credit goes to herself. Minor items such as lack of speedo back light were easy to rectify at the test station although to be honest we should have noticed before taking it. I shorted the dimmer socket out as it had been left off! BUT we nearly came un-stuck. Neither of us noticed the painfully obvious lack of a midmounted rear veiw mirror but while the inspector was testing the brakes Jules shot back to base for one and we quickly drilled a couple of holes and bolted it on. One IAC in hand shes now off to register the private plate E2 MEV as her car is built on a prototype chassis and is actually number 2. This can be denoted by the top chassis rails as they intersect the roll bar. Well done Jules, she hopes to drive it to Stafford. Attachments:

That's great news, well done Jules!
I see that you don't have any knock-on trim around the wheel arches - I was under the impression that we needed to put some on, is that not the case?

well spotted, Jules did not use knock on trim on those wings as they have a return flange that has a 3mm radius on the edge. They are more expensive to produce though so we do not offer them. It takes twice as long to make them as we have to split the mold. No trim around the seats either as behind the seats is an exempt area.

That's good to hear about the seats, thanks Stiggy. I'll probably give you a bell tomorrow to discuss such finer points if that's okay with you - I'd like to emulate Jules' success in the coming weeks as the main build is complete now, just the detailing left to finish off!
