Just the exhaust to alter and we are ready for the off, off to the test centre that is which seeing as it is 40 miles away is going to be an adventure in its own right. Fingers crossed

Hi, you may need to prove that the steering assembly is ALL inc wheel from a type approved vehicle. The MX5 does have a collapsible boss. I noticed items like your top belt bolt needs a cap and not sure if you will see a left indicator from 45 degrees from the right of the car. They may be too far back. You need to trim the top edge of the side plastics inside the car to 2.5mm. There may be other items that need nut covers, edge caps etc. Always fix edge trim with PU as the inspector is entitles to check protective trim is fitted permanently. Hope this helps, regards Stuart. Looks nice BTW

Dear Mr Carson (kit), You will need a rear veiw mirror and definately one on the off side, this is obligatory, listen to our Master about edging and caps, put them on everything you can see, you can always remove after testing from parts of the fibre glass, especially check the under sides of the car for sharp protrusions, best wishes Ted

Thanks for all the advice
As i said, nearly there, hte other mirror and rear view mirror went on just after photo was taken and i have a pile of nut caps and edging to fit.
Regarding the steering wheel, as it is after market i guess that means it won't pass without the proper boss, i still have the original but has the airbag unit on it, can i fit this if the airbag is disconected?
The indicators stick out a fair way from the body so i think will be ok but will check, more concerned about the side repeators as the 5 degree viewable thing is very tight.
Squelch, it was a missing part from the immobilizer that was causing me all the grief, had to get a whole new ecu/immobilzer pack in the end...

Looking good. Nice to see some Exocets finally getting finished. I'm sure I've read about people sticking a cut up garden kneeling mat and stuck it on the middle of the wheel for iva.
