Has anyone found a neat way of hinging the bonnet on a Rocket? I have an aero catch for the nose...
Also, ditto the engine cover - I have the 4 piece type...

Why use a hinge, we have ours on pins at the front and an aerocatch each side at the back, no rivets in bonnet or rusty hinges, easily removed out of the way if you are doing anything. Side repeaters in bonnet are easily disconnected with a proper three pin connector. Works really well for our car anyway. Just a thought!!

Hi Scottie,
Sounds like a really neat way of doing it. Any chance you could post a pic?
Cheers

I have a removable bonnet on a car of mine, was great for a while till the bonnet falls over and get scratched. Also no such thing as a quick look under the bonnet lol.

I agree. A couple of hydraulic bonnet lifters and your away I really dont like them aero catches. I had them on my carbon bonnet on an Evo. Had to cut holes in it. Not good

Not good I have some hydraulic lifters on my bonnet which work very well. Undo the Aerocatch, and the bonnet lifts on its own. I have used a St St piano hinge but a slightly wider one than from CBS.
