Brake Reservoir mounting?

Just a quick question really, I noticed everyone is mounting the Reservoir high up and tubing it down to the brake master cylinders on the TR1KE, is there any reason why I can't just screw the reservoir directly into the brake master cylinders?

I know normally they are mounted high up for easy filling, but its not an easy fill job on a TR1KE anyway. requiring the nose section to be removed.

Just wondered if I was missing something?
