Hi Jeff, The Exocet is light enough that it does not need power steering. TLight and I have modified our power steering racks using the method described by Flyin' Miata - www.flyinmiata.com/tech/depower.php?x=1Since the power steering rack has a slightly faster ratio than the stock manual steering rack, it should be even better for the lightweight Exocet. If you don't want to go to the trouble of modifying the rack, you can opt to cut the feed and return pipes on the power steering rack and join them with a rubber hose. The only issue with that is that the internal seal/washer will still remain and it will require slightly more effort when steering. Still works well though and the MEV demo car is setup in this manner. Hope that helps!

Mines finished, and i took the easy option of looping the feed and return, i simply emptied most of the fluid out, so theres a small amount for lubrication but not enough to make extra effort. to be totally honest, its fine to drive, but stationary steering is hard work with the 215 wide 17" wheels, but i figured your not going to be parallel parking it very often! When the tail steps out, the steering still whips round fast enough to catch it too.

Thanks - if its not essential to remove the seals I think it will depend on time and enthusiasm available during the build!
