Hi, Am goin to visit the following engine builder tomorrow morning: www.mtechautomotive.co.uk/engine-packagesAs there are a few options for the throttle body lengths/angles - which would suit the rocket without hacking panels etc? PS - Was wondering if any of you guys have dealt with this company or have any other builders you have used?

I have Jenny throttle bodies with the full length trumpets. Can't remember of the top of my head their length. I also fitted an mtech ecu and came over from northern Ireland fir them to tune it. Mart us very helpful.
Have a look on their web site and somewhere there should be some pics and a message I wrote.
Tim
Ps. Hacking of engine cover depends on which style you have. You will see a few pics of mine if you look at previous posts of mine. Replying on iPhone so can't send you links!

The Jenveys are great, OMEX have produced a plug and play Jenvey throttle body/ECU set up that works first time/everytime and passes an IVA test without major tinkering.
OMEX offer several packages for the Rocket (and several Rockets have there hardware and software installed) and their engine bay wiring loom/ECU really is plug and play. You can connect the whole thing up in less than an hour and it will instantly run smoothly.

RTR,
very interesting indeed.
However, ours does pass an IVA exam on emissions as I was at Bristol VOSA myself last friday putting our Sonic through said test.
I suggest your 'ethical stance' of what can only be addressed as implied slander be kept to a mininum. If you have a bad experience or a service we have carried out for you that is not up to our usual high standard please contact us directly so we can address it.
The 'plug and play' route doesent really fit in with the kit car market, otherwise we would be buying an Atom, not Building a Sonic.... our systems are half the price of the GEMS, I mean mean OMEX ECU, with twice the features, they do however require wiring, or indeed we can assemble a ready to run loom. We also have the rolling road and experience required to set them up further should the supplied 170/190bhp basemap (which drove the chaps from ireland down to us in the first place for final tuning) are not matched 100% to the engine setup fitted....
Interesting though either way...
Our V4 & Jenvey Kit is £1350+VAT, it will require wiring, but the diagrams are easy rto follow and allows routing and positioning of the ECU to your specification.
The kit includes ECU, unterminated Loom, Fuel Rail, Throttle Bodies Manifold, and air horns. As well as 1 hours free tuning our rolling road (including MOT emmisions test) to give you peace of mind...
