Not yet, want to get the electrics and engine work done first. Only getting a few hours at the weekends at the minute, I know there is a month or two wait time for the IVA at the minute but I don't want to give it to RTR unfinished sort of defeats the point of building it.
Yours is looking v. good now, you been out and about in it yet.

Andy, quick heads up on IVA - the location of your side repeators will fail. Talking with Paul at RTR they are now advising to locate them either on the front wings or on the engine cover. Give RTR a call to confirm, but this was what I was advised. Mine are now mounted on the outside bevel of the front wing.

Andy - I agree with Avantkiwi re the position of repeaters. I mounted mine in pretty much the identical position, and decided before I took it for IVA that it would be a fail. The rear wheel arch obstructs vision from the rear at the appropriate angle. My solution was to add some self-adhesive LED repeaters on top of the front wheel arches purely for the IVA. Strictly you're only allowed a single side repeater, but I left both connected. IVA Inspector was quite happy with it, Martin

Hi Ned
Was thinking we could have got the transportation of the two kits done at the same time and got a cheaper deal. i have not been out in it yet but I'm looking to get it over to the school car park one weekend.
Hi Avantkiwi & Martinw I have put the side repeaters as per build guide but see on other build threads that it did not pass IVA. Will have to look into that and move them. Do you have any photo's of the way you have done yours.
Cheers Andy

How about indicators built into mirrors ? Are they suitable as side repeaters for IVA ?

Hi Jonb2010
Good idea.
Can anyone tell me if this idea would pass the IVA. And if it did what mirrors should I use.
Cheers Andy

Hi Andy Afraid I've no photos as I added the extra ones on top of the front wings purely for the IVA. They can't have been very secure......they seem to have fallen off now I'm pretty sure I've seen mention of mirrors with indicators in them in other threads on here. I think Matt has them on his Rocket too, but his was SVA'd (I think...) and not sure if they were added once it was on the road. Cheers Martin

Finally got around to getting the photos loaded for you. I brought these from SVC. From memory around £12 for the pair.

Hi All Well tomorrow is the big day. Taking the sonic down to RTR for them to get it through the IVA. I have Hired a car transporter so that me & my son can take it down. Have finished all the last wee jobs ready to go. Looking for RTR to do the following: • check and adjust suspension level, camber, toe in and tracking. • Adjust and lock the brake bias bar. • Adjust and calibrate Dash • Check and adjust headlight alignment. • Supply and fit chassis plate • Tune Engine • IVA Test • Register car Hopefully the summer won't be over when I get it back and I can drive it home from RTR with a big smile on my face.
