Hi All
Thanks for the comments Nigel. It's the support and comments on the forum helps to push you on in your build. Also the Newark Kit Car show gave me new enthusiasm to get it finished particularly the comments and encouragement from Matt and Will and all at team MEV.
Cheers Andy

Hi All
Just to let you know the sonic moved under it's own power today all be it two feet forward & two feet back but still a big moment.
Will take it over to my test track (school Playground) at the weekend to give it a better run. I have asked for some help with the fuel filler cap in the Technical section if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
Cheers Andy

It's only moving to Livingston, so not too far. I'm Still thinking of giving mine to RTR to put it thru IVA it may cost a couple of hundred quid more including a trailer but it should bve hassle free and hopefully get a new reg.
I'm still quite a bit of putting the engine in and wiring it up, I may be asking for your help at that point since youve sorted yours out.

You aren’t tempted to put the tank up front then? I looked at putting the tank behing the passenger seat but decided it was too much work to make it look good and added weight to the back of the car. I also could not figure out a good way to connect the filler to the tank but part of the reason was I ran the brake pipes along the top part of the chassis rather than the lower part so was very little clearance for a filler hose. Hopefully someone that has none it will post some helpful pictures..

Hi just had a look through your build..........looks great. One comment though I notice that you are using non hub centric wheel spacers. Personally I would not use them as you loose the spigot that the wheel locates on. This can lead to wheel wobble and puts more stress on the studs. I know these are light cars but I would spend the money on a better quality set. Regards Andrew

Hi Stonic
Thank for your thoughts on putting the tank up front. Not ruled it out but I would have to change the wiring & hoses.
Hi Andrew
I have ordered a set of hub centric spacers from e-bay last Friday so hope they will arrive this week.
Cheers Andy

Thanks Nigel
That the photo's that I was looking for. I think I will look at getting a filler cap like yours as the one I have has a bend in it which seems to take it away from the spout on the tank. If you don't mind can you tell me where you got it from.
Cheers Andy
