I've done as much online research as I can find, but I'm still torn between the two! Does anyone have hands on experience with both cars? The atomic does look a lot smaller than the rocket which I think gives it a more playful appearance. I was originally drawn to MeV by the rocket but have always dreamed of bike engined power and noise!
Does anyone have a 0-60 for the atomic?
Also I've read its possible to build an atomic for under 6k, is this achievable?
Many thanks in advance

In the same dilema Sirwacko. Shame no one has answered your question. I have limited engineering knoledge and would also like to know which is the easyest to build. Was hoping to access the tech section to find out more, but seems you have to order a kit first before you get the password.
Putting me off rather as would like to know if i was capable of making a kit before i start one.

I am currently building a Rocket, I had no experience with cars prior to starting. There will always be tricky parts of any build, there will be times when you will have to improvise with the kit and manufacture some parts yourself but thats what makes it unique to you.
The Rocket isn't a particularly hard project, but if it was easy what would be the point of doing it.
I've been in the garage for 5 hours today, didn't really get much done as I had to make some brackets for the Radiator and steering column but I'm loving every minute of it.
Just get in there and order (Rocket, Trike or Atomic) doesn't matter which one.

John on here has an Atomic and a Sonic7, sure he could give a nice balanced view.

Hello, yes I have both the sonic and atomic( and driven a friends rocket) Comparing sonic with atomic is not possible as the only thing similar is that they have four wheels. Even the rocket and sonic are different but thats not what you are interested in. The rocket is quick easy to drive fun car. The atomic is well? ?? manic screaming speed mad very small car which is a great blast. You wouldn't want to drive 500 miles to a show with it( I wouldn't) but if you want to go out for a couple of hours even one and get your heart pumping with great cornering speed acceleration and noise then look no further,it got it all and some. Now I have said that I will be changing the diff the mx5 is not for cruising(60mph/8000rpm)very tiresome.I think that RTR are using a E3 diff check with them which will be better but I will be fitting a freelander with 3.2 which will be better. Still give excellent acceleration and top speed about 128 more than fast enough in a 2m car. Though cruising will hopefully be about 5500,6000/@60mph acceptable. Could change to bigger wheels? would give a 8% difference. But 15" suit the steering very well. Not to difficult to build but limited guide notes Hopefully this will help.

I really want to do an Atomic that will be great on the road as well as the track. Top info John, cheers!
Also, if you're ever taking it to Knockhill, please let me know so i can come see how well it goes.
