right, most people start their builds with showing the chassis upside down and rivets everywhere. im going to be different, mine starts here, by sorting out this $hit hole i call a garage, and selling the GSXR 1000, which has been a nice ornament for the last 18 months. just so you understand how bad a state i have let it get... watch this space, ill get the wife to sort it.. ;D

now then, i dont care who you are theres no chance you can get the missus to sort that out! if you do then you gotta tell us all how! i thought my garage was bad but wow, yours is extraordinary! lol. good luck, firstly with the garage, then with the build! When you getting your kit? Wayne.

well i started stripping the focus today, didnt get loads done as the haynes manual didnt arrive, but i started which is good. it looks like white paint pen and black sharpie is required more than anything for the electrical connector blocks. i can imagine them getting emotional. so the leather interior came out, the ST lights came off and the bumpers. that will do till i get the book so i do it right.

Hi Paul,
Blimey, I bet there's a few quid spent/to be spent on that little list! What frame/panel colours are you going for? low key or bonkers mad to go with the possible engine performance?
Happy donor stripping!

Im going stealth I think, gunmetal powder frame & parts and flat black body work, black wheels, and im not sure on what colour to do the motor and gubbins yet, may just vapor blast and lacquer the motor, then just powder the blower and spray the rocker, with a subtle silicone hose colour. Well that's in my head so far, could change. Im having a one off rollbar. We shall see how much I change my mind. I decided im only doing this once so i may as well do it right.

Hi Paul how's it going... Are you still on track to pick up your chassis in July?
I used a manual (leaver type) rivet gun all over the car... My hands hurt like feck after doing the floor!!

I phoned RTR last week and said that im ahead of the game on my side, and that im ready to accept the chassis from the end of this month on wards. I need it with me unfinished as I have some welding work for seats and custom rollbar, a few mounting points and full dry build before it goes to powder. Just been and collected the D2 drifting seats, OMP sidemounts with a little adjust ability and Luke harnesses, im stockpiling kit now ready. The engine, charger water injection and omex electronics etc, has all gone off now to be built, I sent the gearbox off too as I would hate that to fail, now I have seen mabbs power outputs I think 250+ is pretty realistic with the head work I have had done too. In a nutshell... I can't wait, just gutted it will be next year before I can launch it..
