right im going to be at RTR at 1030 to get all of my goodies, im now bursting at the seams, i would have been there at 7.00 if possible, but im governed by the van availability. straight to the tuners for the welder to look at rollbar ideas, see how this type R rad sits, seat rails and engine mounts. i can then leave it there for the week to be completed while im at work. then find a powdercoater and an acceptable colour.

It needs a fair bit of motivation, which varies lol. I've sunk over two weeks into this manifold, and it's like your getting nowhere. I suppose because we've done mock builds first, it's soul destroying to then pull it apart, then re assemble after painting.
I've had a week off mine now, as I've been in Spain for a week. My intentions are to get out there tomorow, and have the turbo sat in place ready for a final weld.
Keep at it, it's not a normal build your doing, and as your finding with the rocket, there's no hiding bodged work!

I agree mate, I did 12 hours today, started making mistakes about 8tonight so called it a day, im no we der but can get by, but made some really horrible welds which will take an hour to tidy up. I also mounted the rad. Then rushed the top mounts forgetting that I had decided to lift it by 20mm. One step forwards... etc. That's it till mon afternoon ish

A great source of motivation is taking trips out in owners cars etc: It keeps you motivated and focused on your build. You can't be at it all the time unless you feel you are making progress otherwise you start to regret getting it. I know each build is different, and personally I am not talking from a great deal of experience, but my build prior to this one was the MNR, and I put my heart and soul into it, only to have it destroyed in seconds :-)
I found that making a list of certain goals helped bring the whole project build together. If you feel you are making head way then keep going, but if your getting frustrated, just pack it up for the day or weekend, no hurry to finish, If I can assist at all, please email or phone me. Not saying I can or would be much help, but its always good to share ideas, and sometimes the hardest things you are finding are found by someone else.....
Keep your chin up mate, at least you were dry and warm yesterday :-)
