So far the decomission has been straight forward. I am by no means a mechanic, but just looking for a bolt head and undoing it has so far worked.
A previous users forum helped with how to undo\disconnect some of the plugs so make sure you review them all. The Impact driver from Dewalt has become my best friend.. seriously takes the strain out of everything. Awesome.
I have even managed to remove in its entirety the boot and fuel cap release, in the hope I can sell it for a few pounds.
Thinsg I have found out so far: Doors are crazy heavy...I had no idea. Bonnet crazy light. Plugs will slide out easily if you pry tabs etc up completely.
So I have progressed further than this picture with most interior removed, literally just the dash, which is loose, but just taking a few more pics of cables!

Bit of detail on the steering column removal. Couple of bolts on bracket just behind sterring wheel then 2 more down on bracket against bulkhead. Mine was then rusted into the pinch joint in engine bay. I removed bolt, put steering on full lock so I could see the joint and slid an old chisel in so it was up against the end of the column and wacked it.

Now onto the pedal removal. Looks like accelerator cable ok to detach, but not sure how to detach brake from brake servo in engine bay and like wise the clutch rod that goes from pedal to clutch unit in bay....
and the pipes to the air con unit... but its all good fun

Now onto the pedal removal. Looks like accelerator cable ok to detach, but not sure how to detach brake from brake servo in engine bay and like wise the clutch rod that goes from pedal to clutch unit in bay.... and the pipes to the air con unit... but its all good fun With both the brake & master cylinder removal, there is a round bar which is connected to the pedals right at the top. So you will need to get on your back & look up at the pedals. The bar is connected to the pedals via a pin & circlip. Pop off the circlip & push out the pin, make sure that you put these back into the pedals for safe keeping. The brake master cylinder detatched from the servo with 2 nuts where they join together, then the servo has four nuts on the pedal side. Clutch master cylinder has two bolts keeping it to the bulk head. Take pictures of everything & label everything aswell. Even if you know where it goes now, you may not a few months down the line. There are also wires connected to the edge of the clutch & brake pedal mounts. Before you dis engage the braking system, undo the front wheel hub bolts as you will need to remove the rust tray to fit the wing mounts.

Oh, regarding the air con, officially you will need to get an air con expert in to safely dis charge the gas from the air con unit.
If a spanner accidently slips & starts undoing pipes then so be it lol. Just go careful as the gas may be under a bit of pressure. Just back off a connector to the air con pump or air dryer & that will do the trick. If your air con system was working fine, pop the full system up on eBay, someone may want to do a conversion.
Good effort so far, remember, your most important tool is your camera. Take pictures of everything, no matter how silly it may be as it may help you down the road.

Brilliant, thanks Jason. I got the wings, lights and front off today, so just the pedals and associated gubbings, then there will be space to pull the harness. Got the ecu out and all other stuff unplugged Although I am liking Hammys idea about aftermarket loom. Will decide later, much later.
Dare I hope that the body will be off tomorrow....certainly by next weekend.
Will post pics tomorrow and of the subframe..looks scarily rusty....
