Afternoon, Also been adked about fuel tank/fuel cap connection. As I understand it the spigot outlet off the Mazda tank is 48mm outside diameter, but the spigot on the filler cap unit is 51mm internal diameter. Looking for some sort of adaptor, any ideas? Was thinking of a rubber sleeve, 48mm I/d with a 1.5mm wall thickness? Any feedback appreciated.

This is one of those areas where builders will have come up with a multitude of solutions depending on what type filler cap and location used. For my demonstrator, I decided to shorten and significantly modify the donor's steel filler tube so that I could use different diameter upper and lower lengths of IVA-compliant flexible fuel pipe to match their corresponding fuel cap and fuel tank spigots. I appreciate this may be beyond the scope of builders without the necessary welding skills/eqpt etc.
