Following the success of the Exocet Facebook group, I have started one for Rocket owners. Please search for - UK MEV RTR Rocket owners. Any issues finding it please let me know on here. Thanks Simon

Why is it a closed group?

Because if it’s open all our friends / girlfriends / wives / exwives see everything we post / comment / spend on our cars.

Is not the idea to show off our wares to interested parties and encourage them to join us?
Show the world what "fun we are having"?
Personally, and I am not knocking the idea of this at all, but I don't think that Facebook is a suitable medium for builders. There is no structure to it in terms of grouping similar topics together.
Facebook is about what I did yesterday not how did that chap fit that part last year.

I don't see the problem personally. Yes, it's not as useful as a forum for build threads and searching, but for quick responses to questions it works really well.

Agreed. This is THE resource for builders and owners. It’s just another way of sharing info and asking quick questions. It’s so easy share a quick photo.

Love forums a great way to create a story book on a build.
Facebook is bloody great for quick shares, and a quick catch up to see what people are doing with there cars.uploading pics to forum is horrible. I've joined....hopefully the group will get more users.

Ok I willingly admit I am not a fan of Facebook, I'll even go as far to PROUDLY state the fact that I don't have a Facebook account However I don't actually begrudge the fact that other misguided souls believe it's the best thing since er whatever you want it to be the best thing since. That said would the moderator who placed an "anchor" on this thread please stand up and explain why they did so. For those unaware of the significance of the anchor it is the opposite of "sticky" basically no matter how many posts are made to the thread it will always be pushed down the list of updated threads slowly dissapearing out of sight and into insignificance. I have my suspicions however I could be wrong so whoever was responsible please explain.

Everyone is welcome to view the group and act as they please. I started it as there is a successful Exocet group.... but I got a Rocket!

Hi mate, well done on setting up the group, but until a moderator removes the anchor this thread will continue to drop. Kiwicanfly has tried helping, but to no avail. May I suggest that you copy this info & paste onto a new thread with the same title ? There is no difference between your Facebook page and the Exocet as at one time both were designed & made by the same individual, so I can't see the problem.
