Hi All
Little help with 4W on the IVA application, Axle Weights. What have people put for this?
On my Westfield I have Axle1 425kg Axle2 500kg. Assume the Replicar will be heavier? I think I saw a certificate from Stuart with Axle1 500kg Axle2 600kg.
Also the design weight and Gross weight.
As I said, help needed.

First page of IVA compliance above build blogs in Replicar is where you'll find the form Stuart completed.

Note that further down the 'IVA Compliance' page, Stuart states that the Axle Weights shown on his IAC certificate should be the other way round - i.e. Axle 1 - 600KG and Axle 2 - 500KG

It was the image of the certificate that was causing my confusion, makes sense if the axle weights are the wrong way round.

Do you have a date for IVA?

Just getting all the paperwork in order, which I have now done. Still a couple of jobs to do, get Geo on the wheels and get lights aligned. Basically the car is done so will apply when I have a date for the Geo.

Another question for everyone. Do we need a plate fixed to the car with Vin and axle weights? One came with my Westy kit. The IVA notes has the following
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the identification number displayed on the manufacturer’s plate and
which is stamped on the vehicle chassis or monocoque body.
I have a blank plate anyway but do I need to stamp it and fix to the car?

The attached guide shows what is required for the VIN plate (section 7.) The guide is a little misleading, though, as it seems to suggest that total weight and axle weights are required to be shown, However, the actual IVA manual section on statutory plates (section 18) note 2 shows that maximum laden masses are not mandatory but if are shown, then must be laid out as the guide shows. In other words, you only really need the Manufacturer (in your case MEV LTD) with the VIN stamped underneath it. So, yes you need top make one and fix it to the car prior to IVA. (presumably, you also already have the VIN stamped in a steel plate which has been fully seam welded to the chassis by MEV.) www.gov.uk/government/publications/individual-vehicle-approval-iva-for-cars-help-to-get-a-pass
