Has anyone put side repeaters on the front cycle wings facing backwards if so which ones did you go for and roughly what position, thanks Dave

I think there'd be a risk of not meeting the required angles of visibility in that the rear wheels/wings might obscure in part.
I have an old note but I don't know where I lifted it from "Side repeaters need to be seen from 5 degrees out at the rear right down to the floor." - it's the "right down to the floor bit that might catch you out? Somewhere in the Exo forum way back someone posted a handy test where the repeater needed to be visible from n meters back at floor level ... but damned if I can find it again!
