Have had a few long weekend recently to work on the car. Been fiddling with the wiring and setting up some of the lights. After looking at where the wires want to sit I have decided to run the rear lights and fuel pump wiring down the drivers side of the car and put down some covers to make sure it is protected. Another job for the end of the build. Fancied a change of pace and so decided to fit the rear lights. Typically I put them on the wrong side so in the picture the reverse is on the wrong end. Have changed them now. :-p Made up a temporary layout for the main wiring loom in the dashboard so I can see what issues I will have with the layout. Going to use rubber P clips to hold the loom in the right place. Am finding it hard to lay them out so I am happy. Fingers crossed I can get something that I am happy with.

Wheels Are here !!!! Decided to go for it and get some new speedlines in white. Some Yokohama AD08Rs gone on and look the part. Brake lines have arrived and fitting them confirms my fears. The "Purple" lines are actually quite pink. Ah well, at least they are going to work better than the old rubber ones. Had a go at cutting holes for the loom today, quite happy with how it went. Makes for a cleaner layout although I have found the fusebox seems to have nowhere to locate.

Got her out in the sun at the weekend as its been nice recently. Had a chance to clean the garage out as well. It was getting a bit cramped with all the grinding dust, old parts a new part boxes. I think she looks nice and also didn't think I would even get this far with the build let alone this fast. I fitted the exhaust from the old car which seems to be poking out quite a bit from the rear end. This is a non standard exhaust so expected it to not be 100% but this seems waaaaay off from looking the part. Am considering a new exhaust from MEV. I am however going to be turbo-ed next year so don't want to change the exhaust for IVA when it might only be on there for 500 miles. Ideas anyone? Anyone want to swap an exhaust?

Seem to have lost some photos of the build from his point. I have now tested all the lights and they all work. Wiring on the front lights need finalising and also the lenses on the front lights need turning 90 degrees to get a pattern? I don't seem to have a reversing light coming on although there is 12V at the terminal and earthing there so will have to look into that one. Has anyone ever has a LED unit fail? seems very unlikely top me so will fully test and most likely run it on the fog light circuit to see what happens and that I am not doing something stupid. I have made up some brackets to fit the radiator under the bonnet, rear stays are no in and done, painted the rocker cover and cleaned up the Coil packs and leads. Battery has been located and most of the securing mechanism has been done with the idea proven so will just need finishing off. ( lots of jobs on that list now ) Have a few questions about the build from here but its been a long day so going to leave it there. Am also going to try and keep this updated daily, finding that the hardest part :-) Every time I come on here I am so caught up in all your great builds and seeing the amazing things you lot are doing I run out of time to post.
