Potential Replicar build in Liverpool

Been thinking and wanting to build something for years and after getting the urge again after seeing some kits at car fest south last year I have spent the last few months looking at what to build.  As a complete novice like many I went down the 7 type route but then stumbled across the Replicar.  And I think the minds made up just need to start sourcing the donor and clearing the garage of the wife’s charity shop hoard!

Are there any Replicar in the north west?  Would love to see one up close before I commit but given that ANC are so far away down in Exeter I may have to wait for Stoneleigh.

Any help and guidance on donors would be great, just seen a 2.5 on Internet but believe it requires mods to bonnet, is this a big issue?

Regards donor I think the MK2.5 was only a clearance issue with Exocet, some others have used this donor on Replicar builds before, worst case you can raise the body on the Replicar slightly which you can’t do with Exocet.

There is a map in General chat section (link below), I think R2S is probably closest to you (build in progress) unless you happen to be visiting Glasgow sometime, I’d be happy to give you a tour.

Despite quite a bit of effort I will not be finished by Stoneleigh but will be going anyway to collect the last bits needed.

The good thing with the Replicar is IVA seems very simple and people have passed very quickly.

mprmurray, CheshireBuild (just off M56 Knutsford) and ManchesterBuild are closer to you and are the later kits (with doors and boot) but you are more than welcome to have a look at my build which is just outside Glossop (and somewhat stalled at the moment)
