Hi, I have just noticed that Exomotive u.s sell Exocet shock tower mounts. I cant see any for sale on the uk mev site. After watching a few videos online they appear to be a vital component to get the wishbones to sit level & boast a ground clearance of 6" when used, between the floor of the car & the road. They are $125 for 4 mounts, $165 with powder coating.

As far as I understand it, the US frame made by exomotive has adjusted positions for shock top mounts, and different geometry. Meaning some coilover setups need these spacers as they are too short to gain suitable ride height.
Pretty sure there isn't any up suspension setups that require such a spacer on the UK frames.

Spacers will be required in uk depending on your chosen shocks, as the Exocet mount points are much higher than on the mx5. My shocks clunk when they hit end of travel and only have 3.5inch clearance

Funny you should say that, I have just been reading Ash Gardiners complete kit car Exocet guide, and one of the reasons for his first fail was the top rear wishbone too close to the chassis rails when running on lowered springs. Shortly after posting the original thread, I called a lady at MEV, & she said that it was fine as the American chassis is different. The UK cars appear to sag at the front when on lowered springs, I am calling Exomotive when they open to see if they will post to the UK. I can't imagine the mounting points to the chassis being any different, the MX5/ Miata/Eunos is the same vehicle. I will post up how I get on.

I have just had this response from Exomotive regarding the spacers :
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your inquiry and we can ship overseas. For a quote, please let us know the complete list of items you would like as well as your complete mailing address. The shock spacer set is sold as a set of four and includes hardware. Powder coating can add additional time and cost, but non-powder coated sets typically ship within a week. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
Best Regards, Kevin Patrick Exomotive 404-919-1396

The above mentioned adaptors are not required for UK chassis using MX5 shocks.
