Whilst I understand the requirement for front and rear indicators, is there any requirement within the IVA for side repeaters? We don't think there is but thought we would check here.

Side repeaters must be fitted (one on each side) within 2600mm from the front of the vehicle and meet the angles of visibility laid out in the IVA manual section 23 DIRECTION INDICATORS table 1.
if you haven't done so already, the IVA Manual for passenger Cars (M1) is available for download on the GOV.UK website.

Afternoon, thanks for the feedback, reason I asked the question was that whilst the IVA manual says, as you state, they are required, I notice a lot of picture on the site/ web don't have them fitted, including the Mev red Replicar.

Stuart's red ex-demonstrator does have them (as does the original green one he built.) They're located behind the side vents. He used the donor's repeaters.

The issue with looking at completed IVA'd cars for guidance is that you have no way of knowing what the owner removed after the IVA! |

This is so true, cars are prepared for IVA and lose all sorts of trim after the test. |
