This weekend ECCR (Egmont Classic Car Register) held their bi-annual Ngawhini hill climb. This event is for vehicles built before 1992 with various classes to cater for different ages and engine capacity eg pre 1980 1501 to 2000cc These were the two oldest vehicles that ran, although they were allowed as demonstration runs only due to the lack of certain safety features for racing. Both, I think, were from 1927. 2.7 litre Chev Speedster. 747cc Austin 7 So how does this apply to the Rocket and what with the title? Well class H was for "Future Classics", this class was won by a WRX, a Mazda RX8 was 2nd, then myself and an MX5 which finished in both forth and fifth place (two seperate drivers shared it). My overall finishing position was 14th out of 37 cars. Video of the best run
