The main reason I was looking for something Nomad like is the country roads where I live are terrible in the rocket. I have actually 'highered' (is that a word) my suspension as I'm sick of scrapping the bottom on the road. I just think a Nomad style looks good and with Rocket performance may be more suitable for where I live. I'm not bothered about going up hills and through huge puddles etc, just thinking about practicality of where I live.

I'm with you on that one I live in the sticks too and have grounded out the rocket a few times on the lanes. It's not really a daily driver and it's really more for track days now where it's flat and smooth. For what you're after then the Exocet off road would tick all the boxes ( if you' want to build another car that is? ) I wonder if they'll export to the uk. Last year I bought a cheap MK1 Toyota Rav 4 for a winter nag. I was so impressed with its capabilities it got me thinking it would make a good off road buggy kit. If you could put all the running gear in an Exocet type chassis I think it would be brilliant off-road. They're permanent four wheel drive with drive shafts not solid axles so not heavy, front diff lock, coils all round, good ground clearance and 2.0 petrol engine which I've got a feeling is the same as the MR2 engine so I imagine good scope for modifications. They're very cheap to buy now......mmm

I'm sitting on a AWD Mitsi Airtrek 2.0 turbo, gearbox is shot but I keep thinking about building something with it. Trouble is the sensible side of my brain says why but the larger stupid side just keeps saying why not Big question is what to build!

That would fix the ride height but I like to rugged look of the Nomad, and I could put big lights on the front, a spare wheel and all kinds of stuff to make it more of a daily driver in summer. Whereas the Rocket is more of a streamlined racing machine which I'm going to use mostly for track days.

The car in the thread title is not available in kit form. So, do you cough up the 55k I mentioned earlier, or buy a few tubes and have a go at bending em, dead easy, even girls can do it! All that's missing is a mig welder, some chop strand matt and a gallon of resin.

Too busy with Exocet to find time to design, prove, cut, bend, jig, weld, bodywork, paint, build then IVA to ensure compliance. Potential yield is the issue. It's not going to sell in numbers that could justify proper development costs that could easily reach 50k. That said, although not a kit, there is a waiting list of 14 months for Nomad despite the steep ticket. So plenty of time to save up. There may be a firm out there somewhere that is slack/naive enough to have a go at a kit version but I am sorry to say, not MEV.
